Prime numbers are used in cryptography to protect information such as credit card numbers, addresses, social security numbers, and more! Watch this Youtube video for an explanation. Try the activity below to see if YOU are a good hacker!

DIRECTIONS:
- Choose two prime numbers between 1 and 1,000. These numbers are P1 and P2.
- Using a calculator, multiply the numbers together to get your composite number, C.
- Write C on a post-it note.
- Switch post-it notes with your partner.
- You will have 5 minutes to try to figure out what the original two prime numbers are. You may use a calculator and the prime number list.
